New research from the Youth Endowment Fund shows that one in four teenagers now turn to AI for mental health support, with young people affected by violence even more likely to do so.
The study surveyed nearly 11,000 children aged 13 to 17 in England and Wales. It explored the link between violence and mental health, finding that both victims and those involved in violence were much more likely to face mental wellbeing challenges.
To better understand how teens seek mental health support, ITV News visited Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill in Southampton and spoke with students about their experiences using online mental health resources.
